But for us, it goes beyond that.

Our days are built around caring for our daughter Ayla, who lives with spastic cerebral palsy and our 3 other beautiful children, Elsie, Arleigh and Casey.

Ayla requires full time care, and much of our time is spent attending hospital appointments, planning ahead, and making sure she has everything she needs.

Some days are structured.
Some days change without warning.

It can be unpredictable.
It can be demanding.

And at times, it can be emotionally and physically exhausting.

But it has also shaped who we are in ways we never expected.

It has taught us patience, not just in moments, but in everything we do.
It has taught us understanding, not just of others, but of what people are going through behind the scenes.
And most importantly, it has taught us the value of care.
